Nicholas Barthel is an experienced consumer advocate attorney that has represented clients in an array of different kinds of cases. Nick started his legal career at one of the largest and most prominent consumer law firms in the nation. He is admitted to practice law in California and Nevada State, as well as the respective Federal Courts. Nick provides civil and military support to consumers and servicemembers alike.
Nick grew up in a military household with a father that was in the U.S. Marine Corps for 25 years. He has lived in San Diego for most of his life. Having grown up as the son of an attorney, Nick always had a passion to be an advocate for individuals in need. After graduating cum laude from Gonzaga University, Nick completed his legal education at Whittier College School of Law, where he graduated summa cum laude. In law school, Nick excelled at his studies and eventually graduated with honors as one of the top members of his class. Nick worked in leadership positions, such as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Children and Family Advocacy.
Nick is an experienced litigator having provided vital support to multi-million-dollar class action lawsuits under the FCRA, TCPA, and CLRA. In addition to litigating for Federal Court, Nick has also been a major contributor on several winning Ninth Circuit appellate briefs that helped to expand consumer rights on the west coast of the United States. Most notably, over the last several years Nick Barthel has successfully prosecuted several cases against credit reporting agencies and banks for inaccurate credit reporting, including obtaining six-figure settlements for some of his clients.
